Heather Cottage stands in a quiet lane on the open forest where ponies roam freely, on the edge of Sway, a village with pubs, shops, church, an art gallery and station. There are excellent restaurants in Sway and in the attractive village of Brockenhurst 2 miles away.
Visitors receive a warm welcome in the winter with a cup of tea by the log fire, or in the conservatory or garden when breakfasts can be arranged ,see our excellent menu, and any help with activities given.
We offer one double (kingsize) en suite room,one double (kingsize ) en suite with a single bed in it and an ajacent twin/single room . These two rooms can form a family suite.
This smaller room is also available independently as a twin/double/single room using our new downstairs wet room. Dressing gowns are provided.
Each room has tea/coffee making and freeview flatscreen TV and radio ( not as in photo!) .WIFI . A travel cot is available by arrangement .



Breakfast is served in the dining room, conservatory or garden as wished. Food is local and organic where possible. Please tell us
when booking if you have special dietry needs.

We like to greet guests from 5.00pm , if you need to arrive at another time , or much later, please let us know in advance so we can
plan to be here for you.
. We appreciate having access to your rooms from 10.30 am.
You are welcome to sit in the garden or conservatory, or by the log fire in the reception hall, before going out in the evenings.

The nearest pub/restaurant , www.harehounds.co.uk is 10 minutes walk away. It is advisable to book .We can advise on other places to dine.
The area is popular for walking, riding, cycling, golf, sailing, fishing, bird watching, deer watching and the contrasting atmospheres of wooded forest, heath, Solent, open sea and beaches. Bicycles can be delivered for your arrival from The Bicycle Barn by telephone on 01590 44441
Lymington, with its Georgian buildings, harbour, Saturday market, marinas and access to the Solent Way coastal path is 3 miles away. The Isle of Wight ferry leaves hourly.
Beaulieu Abbey and motor museum. Exbury gardens, Hurst and Calshot castles, Moors Valley and Paultons Adventure Parks are all within half an hours drive. The cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester and Bournemouth, Southampton and Portsmouth are less than an hour away.
All offer good shopping, museums, art galleries, theatre, cinema and music.
